Biography
Bethany Mae Gaston was born on Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. Being a “military brat,” travelling around the country became a part of her upbringing and from this, her love of travel was born. This love first sparked her interest in photography. As such, Gaston began pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Art with an emphasis in photography from the University of Colorado Denver in 2010. She is set to graduate from CU Denver this spring 2015. Her work has been shown in many student shows, nationally and internationally, and most recently one of her photographs was featured at the Spark Gallery (Denver) hanging in their Month of Photography juried exhibition, Focus.
Gaston’s latest body of work, Nature Deficit Disorder, will be on display in the CU Denver BFA Thesis Exhibition 2015 at RedLine (Denver) from May 2-May 10.
